Experience goes a long way.
My Values
Transparency
Finding a therapist that is right for you can be a huge challenge. The most important part of choosing a therapist, is that the vibe is right!
Confidentiality
Your confidentiality is a priority for me. My job is to make sure that you are in a safe, secure and private space with clear consents for you to sign.
Compassion
It all begins with empathy. It is a core value of mine to meet all of my clients empathetically, non-judgementally and with compassion.
MY EXPERIENCE:
I was the Clinical Director for Muir Wood Adolescent and Family Services, where I oversaw a 28-bed residential facility for boys with co-occuring mental health and substance use disorders. At Muir Wood, I also provided individual, group and family therapy as well as the supervision of Therapists and Substance Use Counselors.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Substance Use Disorder Certified Counselor (SUDCC) I have worked in the field of substance use disorders for more than seven years. I have previously worked with the houseless population of Marin County as well as provided in-home services for families and children struggling with mental health and behavioral issues.
In addition to my certification in substance use counseling I am trained in Depth Psychology. I use a client-centered, humanistic and transpersonal approach to therapy.
I am a frequent presenter on understanding trends in adolescent substance use and provide training on trauma-informed approaches to treatment for adolescent addiction and emotional disorders.
I am also a Board Member for California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Redwood Chapter.
